Ag Day Proclaimed

Friday, February 25, 2011
Putnam County Commissioners Kristina Warren, Gene Beck and Nancy Fogle, along with Ag Day coordinators Heather Poynter and Angela Mann, signed a proclamation Monday declaring March 12 to be Ag Day throughout the county. Ag Days has previously been a three-day event in March, but this year it will be condensed into a single Saturday. The committee is hoping the one-day schedule will increase interest in what is already a successful event. The day will feature the Ag Day Breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m., followed by the awards program from 9 to 9:30 a.m. The Mini Farm Fest will then run from 9:30 a.m. to noon. All events will take place at Putnam County Fairgrounds Community Building.

  • Great reminder to folks in Putnam County that this county is a rural agricultural-oriented county with all the joys and pains that go with it!!
