Alumni healthcare and legal professionals program set

GREENCASTLE -- DePauw alumni healthcare and legal professionals, mark your calendars and for a special event on campus on March 4 and 5.

A planning committee of alumni, faculty and staff members is developing a thought-provoking program that will allow people to attend panel discussions about timely issues and also have the opportunity to connect with and mentor current DePauw students planning careers in legal or a healthcare fields.

This year's Healthcare and Legal Professionals program is made possible thanks to the generous support of Mary Smith Showalter, in memory of her husband, Dr. John R. Showalter, Jr. '38.

Sessions and panel discussions include:

* The Crossroads of Law and Medicine

* The Bioethical Issues of End of Life and Patient Competency

* A Discussion of Case Studies in Clinical Ethics (details here)

* So You Want to Go to Graduate School, Where Do You Begin?
