Betty J. Thomas

Betty J. Thomas, 86, Cloverdale, formerly of Mooresville, passed away on March 5, 2011, at the Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Feb. 27, 1925 in Bloomington and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys V. (Butcher) Moore.

She was a member of the Westside Church of Christ, Indianapolis, and was a retired registered nurse.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra K. Borer and Vicki L. Gibson, both of Cloverdale; her sister, Laura O'Brian, Jacksonville, Fla.; her brother, Roger Moore, Bedford; grandchildren, Samantha White Schafer, James C. Borer Price; and her great-grandchildren, Savana Fox and Lylian Schafer.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Clayton M. Heimsath and Don R. Thomas; her sisters, Barbara Cox, Wanda Moore and Irene East; and her brother, Keith Moore.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood on Thursday at 1 p.m. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
