Chamber presents leadership seminar at public library

Thursday, March 24, 2011

When professionals are given new leadership responsibility, their success depends on how quickly they adapt people and management skills to complement their expert knowledge. These essential skills do not come naturally.

On April 12, the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce will help interested members improve these skills with a half-day seminar. Heather Pinney, business consultant with West Central Indiana Small Business Development Center will present "The Proficient Manager and Supervisor" from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Putnam County Public Library.

Participants will learn how to develop the confidence to put newfound skills and management techniques into practice and begin the process of effective, professional supervisory control.

Cost to Chamber members is $10 per person and includes a continental breakfast. Registration forms may be obtained by contacting Tammy Amor at the Chamber at 653-4517 or gchamber@gogreencastle.com.

Completed registration forms along with fee should be returned to the Chamber by April 8.
