South Putnam shuts out Cloverdale

The South Putnam softball team defeated Cloverdale 6-0 Tuesday at home.

Emily Dabkowski led the way going 3-for-4 with a triple, while Jenny Thompson was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Kelsey Whitaker was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Mattie Varvel added two RBIs.

Starting pitcher Brooke Boetjer allowed four runs and struck out 11 batters. She was 2-for-3 at the plate as well.

The Eagles and Clovers will battle again tonight at Cloverdale beginning at 4:30 p.m.
