Sheriff's Department

* April 7, 9:07 p.m.: Carl Uhls, 77, Roachdale, was northbound on CR 725W in a GMC pickup approaching a 90-degree left turn. He didn't realize the corner was as close as it was and left the road, striking a pile of gravel and damaging the truck's front end.

Uhls complained of chest pain but was not treated.

Damage $1,001-$2,500.

* April 13, 3:29 p.m.: Howard R. Hedge, 87, Roachdale, was northbound on CR 200E approaching a 90-degree turn onto CR 800N in a 2003 Chrysler Town & Country. Hedge said when he entered the corner, he apparently didn't stay in his lane, running two vehicles off the road and hitting a third.

Michael S. Roush, 47, Bainbridge, the driver of the third oncoming vehicle, a 2010 Honda Civic, said he saw the two other vehicles run off the road. Roush almost came to a complete stop trying to avoid Hedge's vehicle.

Deputy Josh Boller advised Hedge was having trouble getting vehicle information and identification due to his age and health.

Damage $2,501-$5,000.

County Jail

Kristina L. Massena, 35, Fillmore: Neglect of a dependent, possession of paraphernalia, April 13, 6:13 p.m.

City Police

Jordan D. Richmond, 19, Terre Haute, was arrested by Officer Darrel Bunten at 9 p.m. Wednesday and lodged in the Putnam County Jail for domestic battery.
