Still searching

Friday, April 22, 2011
Jeff Cox with the Greencastle Fire Department walks along the bank of Big Walnut Creek near S CR 625 W, looking for missing kayaker David Pritchett, who launched his kayak into a flooded field Tuesday evening. Members of the Greencastle Fire Department, Reelsville Fire Department, Madison Township Fire Department and Cloverdale Fire Department as well as many volunteers were involved in the search, which was able to resume Thursday around 2 p.m. after an early stop yesterday due to flood conditions. Reelsville fire chief John McPherson asked that anyone who looks on his or her own stay safe. "If they do search, don't become another victim," he said. McPherson also asked that if anyone sees anything to call 911.
