Rescued Treasures

Monday, April 11, 2011
The Humane Society of Putnam County recently cut the ribbon on Rescued Treasures of the HSPC at 15 S. Indiana St. in Greencastle. HSPC was looking for a long-term fundraising project and decided to extend its annual garage sale to a year-round venture. The shop accepts donations of secondhand items for resale in the store. They are also marketing HSPC shirts, a line of dog food and dog training and grooming supplies. HSPC officers and volunteers Anne Clark, Kraig Sargent, Robbie Little, Monica Sargent, Kraig Kinney and Lynn Bohmer were all present for the ribbon cutting, along with the support of a number of Chamber of Commerce and community members. The shop is open Wednesday 3 to 7 p.m. and Thursdays through Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
