Kenny Presley, 59, of Greencastle passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011. He was born in Lafayette, Tenn. on Aug. 2, 1951 to R.C. Presley and Ethel Jenkins Presley.
Kenny was a member of Praise and Worship who loved to spread the word of God through his guitar playing and had recorded a cassette of Gospel music.
His father preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Iris Hiles Presley; a daughter, Jessica Smith and husband, Josh; his mother, Ethel Presley of West Moreland, Tenn.; siblings, Sue Criscillies and husband Cliff of Carp, Danny Presley and wife Connie of Indianapolis, Peggy Minton and husband Jerry of Poland, Darrell Presley and wife Colleen of Crawfordsville, Larry Presley and wife Charlotte of Indianapolis, David Presley and wife Joan of West Moreland, Tenn., and Pam Presley and significant other Chuck of Indianapolis; and two beloved granddaughters, Mackenzie Smith and Mataya Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials in Kenny's name may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Foundation; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
