South Putnam falls to Northview

The South Putnam girls' tennis team fell to visiting Northview Monday, 4-1.

No.1 doubles team of Ericka Minor and Sabrina Arnold won in three sets over Trisha Cox and Haley Leach. Minor and Arnold won 7-6 (7-4), 2-6 and 6-2 for the win.

"Arnold and Minor played very well through three sets," South Putnam head coach Johnnie Briones said. "(They) covered the court well and played to win on every point."

He also went on to say the No. 2 doubles team of Jade Asher and Robbie Urton played well and he was excited to see both teams improve so much right before sectional. Briones said his singles struggled on the day, but he knows they will bounce back.
