DePauw Alumni Weekend under way

The annual celebration of the DePauw University experience and more than 170 years of intellectual engagement and lifelong relationships, Alumni Reunion Weekend began Wednesday and will continue through Sunday.

The 2011 edition of the event is bringing the DPU alumni community together in Greencastle for special Alumni College programs, athletic events, all-alumni entertainment and community gatherings and campus tours.

Graduates of DePauw will reminisce as they return with their classmates to rooms in South or North Quad or in their Greek living units.

DePauw's past, proud present and ambitious future will be celebrated in a Saturday, June 11 afternoon program, which will include special processions of the fifth, 25th and 50th reunion classes as well as an audiovisual roll call of classes. 


Following the traditional class dinners Saturday evening, alumni of all ages will gather for a special evening of entertainment in a transformed Bowman Park -- complete with a dance floor for dancing to the music of Five Easy Pieces.
