Maxine E. Ludlow Reasor

Mrs. Maxine E. (Edmondson) Ludlow Reasor, 92, of Greencastle, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at her Autumn Glen residence.

Born Dec. 12, 1918, in Clayton, she was the daughter of Ralph and Osie (Scott) Edmondson and a graduate of Clayton High School class of 1937 and 1940 graduate of Central Normal College. In 1945 she married Chester Ludlow. They later divorced and in 1972 she married Walker Reasor Jr.

Maxine had taught for 32 years in Johnson, Grant, Putnam and Montgomery counties. At the time of her retirement in 1979, she was the head of the business department at Southmont High School, Crawfordsville.

She was a member of the Greencastle Presbyterian Church and the Indiana State Retired Teachers Association and played in the Greencastle Chamber Orchestra.

Survivors include her son; Harry (Denise) Ludlow of Westchester, Ohio; daughter, Beth (Harold) Risk of St. Cloud, Minn.; stepdaughters Abby (Jeff) Miller of Danville and Paula Chaplin of Indianapolis; sister Gladys Hadley of Danville; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walker and brother Lowell Edmondson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Wes Kendall officiating. Burial will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday.
