Wayne Leslie Harris, 87, Greencastle, and originally of Brazil, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Exceptional Living Center in Brazil.

He was born July 30, 1923 in Brazil as the son of John Otis and Julie Lybarger Harris. He married Imogene Boyce April 25, 1943. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army in the Rhineland and Central Europe campaigns. He was honorably discharged on Oct. 23, 1945.

He worked as a cement truck driver for Clarks/A&C Enterprise and he also worked 41 years for the Clay County School Corporation. He was a member of the First Nazarene Church of Brazil.

He is survived by his wife Imogene; children Jeanne Moschenrose and Kathy (Larry) Cotton; grandchildren Shaun (Molly) Tipton and Chris Tipton; great-grandchildren Elle and Owen Tipton; and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jack, Clyde, Raymond and infant Clifford Harris; and sisters Lucille Burk, Betty Spencer, Lillian Reese, Virginia Neese and infant Kathryn Harris.

Moore Funeral Home, Brazil, was chosen to provide cremation services. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at Moore Funeral Home with visitation 1 p.m. until time of services.
