DePauw hosting volleyball camp

The DePauw Girls Volleyball Clinic will take place July 14-15 at the Lilly Center on the DePauw campus. The clinic will be conducted with the DePauw University coaching staff and players.

Two sessions will take place both days. Sessions 1 and 3 begin will run from 9 a.m. to noon, while sessions 2 and 4 runs from 1-4 p.m. Sessions 1 and 3 will focus on passing, serve receive and serving, while sessions 2 and 4 will focus on setting, hitting and blocking.

Age groups will be divided into three categories: pre-junior high, junior high and high school. The final hours of each session will include team play or scrimmage.

The cost of the clinic is $15 per session or $25 for the day. Payment by check or cash can be made at the door prior to the beginning of camp. For campers attending the full day, lunch is available from noon to 1 p.m. at the Student Union Building. The cost of lunch is $7.

To register for the camp call 658-4969 and will need to state your name, age telephone number and what sessions you will be attending. It is asked that people register two days prior to the start of camp. Onsite registration will be available if space permits.

Campers are asked to wear T-shirt, shorts, gym shoes and kneepads. It's also suggested that they bring a water bottle as well. Camp shirts are available to be purchased for $10.
