Reynolds in Mooresville hosts Healthy Soils Workshop

MOORESVILLE -- On Tuesday, July 12, the Morgan and Hendricks County Soil and Water Conservation Districts will be holding and event at Reynolds Farm Equipment in Mooresville. The free event -- dubbed Healthy Soils Workshop -- will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will include lunch. The workshop will feature four guest speakers.

Ray Archuleta of the Natural Resource Conservation Service will give a speech titled Healthy Soils. Archuleta is a nationally recognized speaker and a Certified Professional Soil Scientist who serves on the NRCS Technology Team in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Indiana State Agronomist Barry Fisher will speak on "Practical Cover Crop Integration."

The third speech will be a collaboration between Tony Branam of the NRCS and Geneva Rawlins of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture.
