City Police

Two arrests were reported Tuesday night by Greencastle City Police.

-- At 11 p.m., Miranda Jo McNew, 22, Greencastle, was arrested at the Castlebury Apartments playground by Officer Nick Eastham.

McNew, who was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a charge of battery, allegedly had a physical confrontation with another woman on the playground.

-- 8:03 p.m., Talissa O'Conner was arrested by Officer Eric Vaughan on a theft charge. O'Conner allegedly took $96.39 worth of clothing at the Walmart store on Indianapolis Road.

Police said O'Conner reportedly put the clothing in a large purple bag and left the store without paying at 7:45 p.m.

One speeding citation was issued Tuesday night by Officer Eastham.

Donald Starwalt, 31, Zionsville, was ticketed for 61 mph in a 40-mph zone on State Road 240 at 9:16 p.m.

County Jail

Vaughn Murray Alvis, 50, Columbus: Public intoxication, July 20, 4:09 a.m.

David DeWayne Ferguson, 33, Indianapolis: Probation violation, July 19, 10:30 a.m.

Robert Duane Minnick Jr., 38, Cloverdale: Probation violation, July 19, 9:05 p.m.
