Friends clean up camp

Saturday, July 30, 2011
Workers from PNC Bank hoist brush onto a burn pile at Camp Friend. Workers spent much of Thursday cleaning up brush around Camp Friend in an effort to soon re-open the property. Mark Nogelmeiner and fellow managers from PNC Bank met at Camp Friend for their quarterly community service project. The group cleared brush around the front of the Camp Friend property to help in the effort to re-open the site. Heading up the project was Putnam Friend of Youth Foundation Inc. board member Dr. Isaac Case. Fellow board member David Zeiner donated the use of heavy equipment. Camp Friend will be opening soon to any youth organization who wishes to use the property. Those interested in using the Camp Friend property are free to contact Putnam Friend of Youth Foundation Inc. President Rod Weinschenk or Vice President Dr. John Scamahorn.

  • Great Job! Thank You Mark and PNC Crew!

Come on FNB, ONB, NSSB, First Financial, oh yes TCU and any other Putnam County Bank Step Up to the challenge to Help Camp Friend! Keep this project moving forward. Check out the Eagle Scout Candidate from troop 93 has an excellent project to replace the outhouse. Some dollars are needed for this. I will start it off with the donation of the plaque for those who contributes to this project for Scott D.
