Roy Lee Young

Roy Lee Young, 65, of Reelsville, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011 at the IU Health University Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born on March 1, 1946 in Edmonton, Ky., and was the son of the late Joe L. and Delsie Olene (Whitlow) Young.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Young, Reelsville; daughter, Teresa Ann Parke, Summer Shade, Ky.; his son, Tommy Joe Young and wife Charlotte, Edmonton, Ky.; son Justin Anderson and fiancé Sarah, Indianapolis; son Josh Anderson and wife Nikki, Melbourne, Fla; daughter, Lynn Ann Yielding and husband Randall, Hackleburg, Ala.; his sister, Linda Carol Grider and husband, Buford, Edmonton; niece Kay Isenberg-Fisher and husband, Michael, Auburn, Ky.; great-niece, Krista Isenberg, Bowling Green, Ky.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronnie and Edna Cook, Reelsville; brother-in-laws, Anthony Albright, Greencastle, and Todd Cook, Reelsville; his uncle, John Ash and wife Libby of Greencastle; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Roy never met a stranger on his journey on this earth.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 18, at 2 p.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.
