Cougars fall to Warriors

INDIANAPOLIS -- The North Putnam volleyball team fell to Covenant Christian in four sets on the road Thursday. The Cougars fell 16-25, 17-25, 29-27 and 17-25.

"Our new defense is working out well for us," Cougars head coach Jill Schrieber said. "(We) still need to improve on a couple things, but overall I was very proud of the girls and the way they played.

"Sophomore Madi Asbell stepped up her game tonight and really showed the C.C. team what she could do," she added.

Morgan Robinson had four kills, while Kallie Brattain had two kills, Katie Welch had eight assists, with Bethany Wiatt adding three. LeeAnn Davis played the libero position and had seven digs.

The junor varsity sqaud lost in two sets, falling 20-25 and 15-25.
