Two teenagers sustained minor injuries Thursday in a three-vehicle after-school mishap on East Washington Street, 100 feet east of Indianapolis Road.

Robert Bridgewater, 16, Greencastle, was westbound, driving a 2000 Dodge Ram and approaching the stoplight near Dairy Castle. He told police he looked down momentarily to locate his cell phone and did not realize traffic in front of him was stopping.

His vehicle struck the rear of a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Brookelyn Edgar, 16, Greencastle, pushing it into a 1988 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck driven by Dakota Wilbur, 17, Greencastle.

Total damage in the 3:26 p.m. accident was estimated at $10,000-$25,000.

Officer Ed Wilson reported that both Edgar and Jessie Glover, a passenger in the Wilbur vehicle, suffered neck pain and were taken to Putnam County Hospital via Operation Life ambulance.

Meanwhile, police also reported an incident of leaving the scene of a property-damage accident Thursday at the Dollar General lot on North Jackson Street.

Phillip Sosebee, 39, Greencastle, reported damage to the passenger's side of the front bumper on a 2003 Mazda SUV.

Damage was listed at $1,000 or less.
