Putnam County football games available online

Thursday, August 25, 2011

In our ongoing efforts to bring our readers the latest in Putnam County sports, the Banner Graphic has joined the Ink Barrel Video Network. Through this new partnership, viewers will be able to watch a number of Putnam County high school football and basketball games -- as well as match-ups from around the state -- live on the internet this season.

The first broadcast was slated to be South Putnam at Tri-West at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27. However, technical difficulties at Tri-West have delayed the broadcast. It will be archived and will be available beginning Saturday.

The game can be accessed from the front page of bannergraphic.com simply by clicking on the "South Putnam Video" button on the left side of the screen. From there, click on the South Putnam photo to link to the broadcast.

From this page, not only can the local game be viewed, but a number of games from around the state are available, including a West Central Conference game between Monrovia and Cascade.

So far, four Putnam County games will be available on Ink Barrel, including North Putnam at Cascade on Sept. 2, North Putnam at Danville on Sept. 16 and Greencastle at Cascade on Oct. 7.

Some county home games may also be available for viewing at a later date. Details will be released when more webcasts are scheduled.
