Dog Day Afternoon

With the city pool officially closed to humans for the season, canines and their owners took advantage of the annual Soggy Doggy Day to cool off at the Greencastle Aquatic Center Monday night. With chemicals greatly reduced, 45 visiting dogs took a refreshing dip to varying degrees of delight. Rex the Airedale gives his master the evil eye as if to say he's not going any deeper, while Foxy, the little Pomeranian, prances along the water's edge and a Cocker Spaniel gets the shakes just knowing he's about to get dunked.
