Kathy Evans

Kathy Evans, 52, of Cloverdale, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 at her residence.

She was born on July 22, 1959 in Beech Grove and was the daughter of Richard and Carolyn (Francher) VanDeVanter.

She was a member of the Cloverdale Church of the Nazarene and had served as the election clerk in the Putnam County Clerk's Office.

She married Tim Evans on April 15, 1983, and he survives.

She is also survived by her children, Jamie Hicks and husband Blake, Greencastle, Robyn Hodges and husband Jacob, Cloverdale, Dianna Mann and husband Tony, Cloverdale, and Shannon Evans and her boyfriend Donald Gilbrech, Poland; her grandchildren, Alishia Anne Jolie, Makenzie Brooke Hicks and Daylen Jacob Hodges; her parents, Richard and Carolyn VanDeVanter, Mooresville; her sisters, Pam Robinson and husband Doug, Brooklyn, and Paula VanDeVanter and her boyfriend Chuck Galloway, Lebanon; her brothers, Alan VanDeVanter and wife Robin, Brooklyn, and Tony VanDeVanter and wife Debbie, Mooresville, and her paternal grandmother, Helen VanDeVanter, Mooresville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Rev. Bill Pursell and Rev. Ross Kirkman officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery.
