Free Medicare seminar set for Sept. 29 at Autumn Glen

The 2011 Medicare open enrollment period is just around the corner.

Do you need help wading through the sea of plan options? If you will be joining the ranks of Medicare soon, or are already in Medicare system and want to better understand what this federal program is all about, a free seminar is available.

Autumn Glenn will be hosting Medicare seminars on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. The event is open to the public.

Medicare benefits under Parts A & B, Part C and Part D drug benefit and supplemental insurance will be covered. Phillip Asbell of Bankers Life and Casualty will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.

Medicare benefit enrollment can be time sensitive for those already receiving Medicare benefits.

The 2011 open enrollment for Medicare Part D and Part C opens Oct. 15 and ends Dec. 7. During this time, people with Medicare can add, drop or change their prescription drug coverage.
