She was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on theft and violation of probation charges.

-- At 3:52 a.m. Saturday, Eva Nicole Mason, 28, Greencastle, was arrested for battery on the parking lot of Gas America at Indianapolis and Round Barn roads on the city's East Side.

-- At 7:54 p.m. Friday, Patricia Ann Colantonio, 20, Greencastle, was arrested and lodged in the Putnam County Jail on charges of theft and battery at the Walmart store on Indianapolis Road.

Officer Jeff Modlin reported that Colantonio paid for phone cards and lingerie but allegedly took two bras without paying. She also reportedly struck a Walmart employee who confronted her during the incident.

Two recent traffic accidents were investigated by city officers:

-- At 4 p.m. Monday, a two-vehicle mishap occurred at Bloomington and Martinsville streets as Calvin Mitchell Minnex-Spiker, 19, Greencastle, attempted to turn left onto Bloomington Street from Martinsville Street in a 1983 Chevrolet S-10 pickup.

Officer Darrel Bunten said the truck driver failed to see that a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Makenzie Kessler, 17, Greencastle, had turned south off Veterans Highway onto Bloomington Street and a collision occurred.

Total damage was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.

Kessler complained of pain to her mouth and jaw from deployment of the airbag. She was treated and released at the scene.

Minnex-Spiker complained of pain to his side but declined treatment at the scene.

-- At 4:45 p.m. Sept. 8, a two-vehicle accident was reported at North Indiana and Liberty streets.

Officer Bunten reported that a 2007 Nissan Sentra, driven by Susan Nation-Arnold, 48, Cloverdale, was going the wrong way on Liberty Street because the driver was unfamiliar with the area. The Nissan collided with a southbound 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by Jennifer Goebel, 31, Greencastle.

Total damage in the accident was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.
