Carolyn S. Grooms

Mrs. Carolyn S. Grooms age 62 of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011 at her residence.

Born July 22, 1949 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Glen Edward Crawley and Ann Marie (Higgins) Haga.

She married Phil Grooms on Dec. 13, 1982 and he survives.

Carolyn had worked as a CRN in area nursing homes, most recently at The Waters of Greencastle. Her favorite song that she loved was "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me.

Survivors include her husband; mother of Reelsville; a brother, Bobby (Bonnie) Crawley of Reelsville; her sister-in-laws, Elaine (Jay) Watson-Venable, Carol (Wayne) Grimes, both of Greencastle, and Teresa (Lincoln) of Kokomo; a brother-in-law, Ray (Linda) Grooms of South Dakota; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Glen Crawley.

A memorial service will be announced at later date by the family.
