Resident concerned with bridge repairs

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

Dear Neighbor:

As you read in the Banner Graphic the commissioners turned down a $4 million grant from INDOT to build a bridge since Dunbar Bridge is in a non repairable state and could be closed at any time without due notice. I thought this would be a no-brainer but apparently I was wrong. Therefore I will be on the next commissioner's agenda at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 3, 2011 at the Court House Annex. I would appreciate your support or ideas on Oct. 3rd at this meeting.

Nancy Fogle is our commissioner for Greencastle Township but this is a Putnam County problem. Please contact Fogle and come to the meeting and express your thoughts. This decision should not be made by 2 or 3 individuals in the neighborhood. As I said before this is for Putnam County and it means accessible roads with safety, jobs, better economy, fire protection, emergency medial care, supplies, maintenance of our livelihood, safety and for national defense.

I do not want to be bullied and I am sure that you want your voice heard and you do not want to be bullied by a few.

Thank you in advance

Your neighbor
