At 12:54 p.m. a male suspect tried to rob the Tri-County Bank on South Boulevard, Crawfordsville. No money was obtained in incident. Crawfordsville Police are investigating.

The suspect is believed to be a light skinned black male, mid- to late-20s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150-170 pounds, brown eyes with unusually large eye lashes and a thin mustache or goatee. He was wearing blue jeans, plain grayish short sleeve shirt over a grayish long sleeve shirt, black, Nike shoes and a blue horseshoe Indianapolis Colts cap.

The same suspect is believed to have walked into Main Source Bank on Liberty Street, Covington, at 2:17 p.m. He gave the teller a note demanding money.

The suspect left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and possibly drove off in a nearby tan or beige Ford Explorer with Illinois registration. The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on Washington Street in Covington.

No weapon was mentioned, but the note was interpreted as threatening.
