King - 50th Anniversary

Oscar "Bud" and Marcia (Sims) King will celebrate more than 50 years of marriage at an open house hosted by their family at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Little Dude Ranch north of Greencastle. They were married June 25, 1960 at the Greencastle Church of God.

They are the parents of two children, Oscar E. "Buddy" King Jr. of Greencastle and Diana Lynn Norton of Crawfordsville. They have nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, one deceased.

Both are lifelong residents of Greencastle. Mr. King retired in 1996 from DePauw University after 30 years of service and is currently employed by the City of Greencastle. He served in the U.S. Army as well as in the National Guard. Mrs. King worked in Food Services at DePauw for 30 years and is now employed by Delta Tau Delta Fraternity at DePauw.
