Jerry C. Rowe, age 71, of Greencastle, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Aug. 25, 1940 in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Charles Holden and Martha Josephine (Zinser) Rowe.

He was a graduate of Scecina High School, class of 1958.

He married Russella M. (Davis) Rowe on Feb. 27, 1960, and she survives.

Jerry had worked for P.R. Mallory's from 1964 to 1987, Service Master and Onalaska School District, Onalaska, Wis., from 1989 until his retirement in 2009.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Greencastle.

He loved spending time with family and friends, was an avid golfer and Green Bay Packers fan.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda (Robert) Littrell of Greencastle; two sons, Jeffrey (Lucie) Rowe of Knoxville, Tenn., and Scott (Sue) Rowe of West Salem, Wis.; his brother, Jim (Janet) Rowe; two sisters, Barbara Presley, and Gail (Rick) Rowe-Turi; six grandchildren, Jason Littrell, Aaron (Felicia) Littrell, Lindsay (Mark) Amones, Aneshka Rowe, Megan Rowe and Evan Rowe; a great-granddaughter, MaKayla Littrell; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Shelly McNab.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Alan Small officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
