Police scanner for Oct. 28
Several people have been booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.
* On Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 10:22 a.m. Renetta Mae Hartman, 21, Brownsburg, was arrested for probation violation.
At 10:34 a.m. Dale Scott McKnight, 47, Plainfield, was housed at the jail for probation violation.
At 2 p.m. Brian Joseph Skeen, 42, Crawfordsville, was booked for probation violation.
At 3:45 p.m. Maryann Kortz-Farrar, 34, Indianapolis, was arrested for two counts of theft.
At 4:20 p.m. Murat Can Morrison, 47, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail for fraud and theft.
* On Friday, Oct. 21 at 12:14 p.m. Gilbert R. Warren, 68, Cloverdale, was on County Road 1000 South in Cloverdale in a 1993 Toyota pickup. He tried to stop at the intersection with Grant Street but said his brakes did not stop him in time.
Warren collided with the 2011 Ford Fusion driven by Gerry L. Evens, 69, Cloverdale.
* On Sunday, Oct. 23 at 4:52 p.m. Joel C. Benge, 53, Russellville, was traveling on U.S. 36 near the U.S. 231 intersection in a 2001 GMC pickup. He said he saw traffic slowing but couldn't stop before running into the rear of a 2008 Jeep SUV driven by Jeremy S. Goldsmith, 25, Indianapolis.
A passenger in Goldsmith's vehicle complained of back pain but refused medical attention.
* On Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 10:24 p.m. Gary D. Jones Jr., 32, Indianapolis, was southbound on State Road 243 near County Road 100 West in a 1993 Buick. As he was rounding the corner he began to slide due to the wet road.
He left the road on the east side and hit a ditch and a tree and overturned.
Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.
At 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, Amy Dawn Hutcheson, 36, Greencastle, was arrested on Maple Avenue by Capt. Charles Inman.
She was arrested on a warrant for probation violation and lodged in the Putnam County Jail.
At 2:06 a.m. Thursday, Tyler Patrick Kuras, 21, Greencastle, was arrested on Longcastle Drive by Officer Eric Vaughan.
He was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on charges of theft and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.
One traffic citation was written Thursday morning by Assistant Chief Brian Hopkins.
Peggy Wells, 49, Greencastle, was cited at 11:36 a.m. at Bloomington Street and Veterans Highway for driving with a suspended license.
