Saturday, October 29, 2011

INDIANAPOLIS -- South Putnam rode the back of running back Rob Gibson on their way to a 35-7 win in the semi-final of 2A Sectional 30 over Park Tudor.

The senior scored twice on the ground and twice through the air for the Eagles, while also adding an interception and a completed pass on the evening.

Gibson scored from five yards and 59 yards on the ground while hauling in passes of 45 and 72 yards for scores off of the arm of Seth Hammond.

In total, Gibson compiled 244 total yards of offense on the night. Hammond provided the other score for the visitors on a two-yard sneak. David Kroot scored the only touchdown for the Panthers on a 13 yard run.

Due to unforseen circumstances, the complete story was not available for press time. Complete game coverage will be in Monday's edition of the Banner Graphic.
