Stellar program workshop Wednesday at City Hall

Monday, November 7, 2011

Through the Stellar Community grant the City of Greencastle has received funds from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority for home repair and improvements.

The program is for people who own their own homes, are income qualified and live in the designated South Court area or within a two-block radius of the Putnam County Courthouse.

Such owner-occupied properties could be eligible for up to $25,000 in funding. The grant funds can be used in such flexible ways as lead-paint remediation, energy audits, new siding, paint and creating handicap accessibility.

There will be a meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Greencastle City Hall, 1 N. Locust St., for anyone interested in learning more about the program.

For more information persons may call the City of Greencastle at 848-1515, or Star Development (grant administrators for the program) at 765-478-6512.
