Patricia Blair Miller, age 66, of Bloomingdale, Mich., (formerly Griffith, Ind.) passed away on Nov. 6, 2011.

She was born in Brazil, Ind., July 10, 1945, the daughter of Wilford "Boots" Albright and Marie Lucille (Tapy) Albright.

Patty was an avid gardener. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as president and treasurer.

She was also a member of the Highland Elks Lodge and volunteered for the Fraternal Order of Police, Shop with a Cop and contributed to the Ronald McDonald House.

Her hobbies included bowling, golfing, traveling and spoiling the grandchildren.

Patty lived her life by her motto: Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cigarette in one hand, beer in the other, bowling ball close by, joke on her mind, totally worn out and yelling, "woo-hoo what a ride!"

She is survived by her son Jerry R. Blair II (Reigan) of LaPorte, and her daughter, Ginger Kay Clark (Andrew) of Brownsburg. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jacobie, Caleb and Sadie Rose Blair and Madison Clark.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 18 years, Laurent "Fuzzy" Miller and her parents, Wilford and Marie Albright.

Visitation will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12.

Members from the American Legion Auxiliary in Griffith, Ind., will provide a brief memorial service prior to services.

Services will be at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Saturday. Burial will follow at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Galilee Church Ministry, P.O. Box 37, Poland, IN 47868.
