Under the Big Top

Thursday, November 10, 2011
The Williams family had fun clowning around during the annual Family Literacy Night's "Under the Big Top" was held at Greencastle Middle School on Friday, Nov. 4. Each year, GMS staff and volunteers create a Friday of fellowship and fun for families as they race around the building completing various activities in all subject areas. Families compete in activities such as The Countries and Capitals Ball Toss, Measure the Music and Math Magic to name a few. The evening is free, beginning with a themed meal, followed by the literacy race, and ending with dessert and a prize give-away. The success of the event comes from the donations of prizes received from several businesses both in and out of town. Success is also attributed to DePauw University's Pi Beta Phi's who are always on hand to assist with the event. The event is organized by media specialist Amy Weliever.
