City Police

A 43-year-old Greencastle woman suffered minor injury in an accident Friday afternoon on the McDonald's parking lot.

Chris Puhala complained of pain to her foot after the 3:45 p.m. mishap. She was standing alongside the driver's side of her car, retrieving an item from the back seat, when her foot was reportedly struck by a 1991 Pontiac Bonneville being backed form a parking space by Wilma Millemon, 90, Greencastle.

The driver told Officers Darrel Bunten and Ed Wilson that she thought Puhala had seen her backing out, and did not know there was a problem until the victim started screaming.

Preliminary X-rays did not reveal any broken bones.

A two-vehicle mishap was reported Tuesday morning at Walnut and Vine streets.

Scott R. Ross, 41, Greencastle, was southbound on Vine Street, driving a 2004 Cadillac, when he was struck by a 2004 Ford minivan driven by Amy Forster, 29, Cloverdale.

Officer Bunten said Forster was going the wrong way on College Avenue after turning off Walnut. She said she was unfamiliar with the area.

Total damage in the 10:54 a.m. accident was listed at $2,500-$5,000.

One traffic citation was issued by city officers Wednesday morning.
