Thursday, November 17, 2011
Students from Cloverdale and South Putnam schools began working on the annual Toy Drive which runs through Thursday, Dec. 8. Both schools are asking the community for donations of slightly used or new toys, stuffed animals, books or cash donations to be given to those less fortunate during the holiday season. Preparing toy drive (from left) are Katlyn Rector, Ashey Schroer, Elizabeth Bunten, Kendall DeHahn, Mikayla Cherry, Ethan Boyd, Chauncey Baker, Kyle Manion, Joe Littiken, Matt Brezina, Bradanne Toney, Nathan Criss, Sawyer Arnold, Rob Gibson, Zach Rayce, Sam Gould, Jessie McKean, Katy Kuchler, Vanessa Richardson, Mitchell Stacey, Sarah Woodworth, Cameron Mann and Marie Leach.

It's getting to be that time of year and that time for the annual Toy Drive. South Putnam and Cloverdale student councils started the toy drive Tuesday night with the help of Marie Leach, representative of Return a Gift.

The collections for the annual Toy Drive will take place until Thursday, Dec. 8, which will also be the morning of the Toy Drive Give Away held at Cloverdale High School from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Both schools will be collecting slightly used toys, stuffed animals, books as well as cash donations. To receive two wrapped gifts, two books, a stuffed animal and a hat and pair of gloves, they ask to bring child's Health Wise cards or a tax return of showing them as a dependent.

To be families should only receive gifts for children or grandchildren.
