Putnamville troopers earn ISP awards, recognition
PUTNAMVILLE -- During a recent post meeting at the Indiana State Police Putnamville District, Lt. Dan Jones, commander of the Putnamville Post, presented awards and recognized several individual troopers on their recent achievements.
Safe Driving Awards were presented to Master Trooper Todd Brown of Clay County and Senior Trooper DuJuan McFadden of Hendricks County for achieving 500,000 safe driving miles. The award was presented to the troopers for not having a preventable automobile accident in 500,000 miles while operating their department patrol vehicles.
Master Trooper Hans Nowak received his years of service certificate and recognition for 20 years of service to the department and the citizens of Indiana.
Senior Troopers Don Anglin, Polly Blackburn and Jason Owen received their new rank of Master Trooper which is the highest of the trooper ranks. The receiving troopers achieved their new ranks from their previous rank of Senior Trooper by having a satisfactory or above performance evaluation and 15 years of longevity as a trooper.
Trooper Joe Rutledge received his new rank of Senior Trooper. He achieved the rank by having a satisfactory or above performance evaluation and 10 years of longevity as a trooper.
Meanwhile, Troopers Adam Edwards and Mike Finney received their five-year longevity award.
"This group of individuals is just a small representation of the great work performed by our entire staff. I commend them all for their dedicated service and for a job well done," Lt. Jones said.
