Friday, November 18, 2011

The Brian and Jamie Downen home, 2921 E. CR 275 South, is one of five houses on the 29th annual Delta Theta Tau Holiday Home Tour set for Saturday, Nov. 19 from 1-5 p.m. The Downens and their boys have called this four-bedroom ranch their home since 2008. Built in 1998 by Lee and Linda Pingleton, it features cherry hardwood floors and trim, walnut doors and custom walnut cabinetry, and a custom walnut entertainment center. Recent updates include a wood--burning stone fireplace, natural slate shower in the master bath, oil-rubbed bronze hardware and faucets and ceramic tile kitchen backsplash. The open living and dining rooms are perfect for entertaining or just enjoying the holiday decorations and surrounding nature. Admission to the home tour is $8 per person. Tickets are available at Eitel's Flowers, Treasures on the Square, Ambler--Hill Florists, Almost Home and Curves.
