4th-quarter rally dooms Clovers

FARMERSBURG -- Cloverdale boys' basketball dropped a heartbreaker in its season opener Tuesday night, falling to North Central 48-46.

The Clovers (0-1) came out hot with 19 first-quarter points. They even held a 14-point second-half lead.

However, they couldn't hold off a late charge from the Thunderbirds (1-0), who outscored the Clovers 21-7 in the fourth.

Brody Pfaff led Clover scorers with 16 points, followed by Joe Fidler's 15.
