City Police

A two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon at Shadowlawn and College avenues resulted in minor injuries to passengers in each vehicle, Greencastle City Police reported.

Patricia Cruz, 83, Reelsville, driving a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer, was attempting to turn onto Shadowlawn from College when the vehicle collided with a 2000 Buick, driven by Candy Wilson, 53, Greencastle.

Wilson had stopped at the four-way stopsign, police said, although her car was partially past the white stop line when the mishap occurred, Officer Ed Wilson reported.

Total damage in the accident was estimated at $1,000-$2,500.

One passenger complained of dizziness and another passenger complained of pain following the 3:50 p.m. accident.

The police report did not name the passengers or list which vehicle they were in.

County Jail

On Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 1:46 a.m. Ashley Nicole Osborne, 30, Quincy, was held at the Putnam County Jail for public intoxication.

Sheriff's Department

On Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 7:14 p.m. Samantha L. Ferry, 21, Fillmore, was eastbound on County Road 300 North from County Road 550 East in a 1996 Oldsmobile. She said she looked away from the road and veered over into the westbound lane, traveling off the road and into a culvert.

Damage $5,001-$10,000.
