Wreathing of Greencastle

Wednesday, November 30, 2011
As a wintry mix fell from various shades of gray clouds, Tuesday was a good time to bring a little color to downtown Greencastle. Enter Eitel's Florist, whose staff spent the day delivering 36 free wreaths to area businesses for the holiday season. Eitel's employee Sandy McCloud got the idea after reading about a similar effort by a florist in Worcester, Mass. New Eitel's owner Jenny Sullivan liked the idea and thought it could be the start of a new tradition in downtown Greencastle. Sullivan and McCloud made a delivery to Greencastle City Hall shortly before 11 a.m., hanging the wreath on the front door with a little help from Mayor Sue Murray.

Following the installation, McCloud and Sullivan presented the final product.

  • What a nice thing to do. Thanks Jenny.
