Harold Owen Seay, 92, Jackson Township, Parke County, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at Putnam County Hospital.

He was born July 27, 1919 in Jackson Township near Rocky Fork Lake, the son of Thomas W. Seay and Ruth Hersey Seay.

He married Julia Jean Marcum on Easter Sunday, April 25, 1943 in Greencastle. She passed away in January 1986.

He was a retired farmer and worked at the Parke County Highway Department for more than 20 years.

Survivors include his two children, David Seay (Claudia) and Helen Louise Seay Osborne, both of Jackson Township; four grandchildren, Tammy Sue Osborne Lucas (Sean) of Rockville, David Troy Osborne (Kari) of Brazil, Melisa Ann Osborne Greene (Doug) of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Michele Denise Seay of Greencastle; eight great-grandchildren, Nick, Randy, Gina and Brendon Lucas, Sarah and Ian Osborne and Alexander Greene and Brandon Seay; one great-great-grandson, Bryson Carter Lucas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers Thomas Donald Seay and Glen E. Seay, sister Leta Agnes McKeehan Lampson, nephew John William McKeehan and son-in-law, Douglas Troy Osborne.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, Rockville, with the Rev. Wesley McClure officiating. Burial will be at Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
