Geraldine C. Runion, age 95, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

She was born Nov. 9, 1916 near Greencastle in Putnam County as the daughter of Glen and Elizabeth Hurst Clark.

She graduated from Fillmore High School.

She married Lloyd S. Runion May 28, 1938 in Crawfordsville, Ind. They were married for more than 71 years. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2009.

She worked as a financial secretary for 13 years at the First United Methodist Church of Crawfordsville, where she taught Sunday school for many years.

In 1978, she retired to Largo, Fla., where she volunteered her time and talents for more than 15 years with a variety of organizations, including Oak Manor Nursing Home.

She was a more than 40-year member of the Montgomery County (Ind.) Home Demonstration Club, a member of the Largo-Seminole Women's Study Group and was active in the Largo-Seminole Extension Club.

She was also an active member of the First Baptist Church of Terre Haute.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Ivan Clark and Eugene Clark (her twin brother); and sisters, Evaline Frank, Madge Smith and Lucille Albin.

She is survived by daughter Mary Claudette Edwards (Phil) of Indianapolis; son Kevin Lloyd Runion (Emily) of Terre Haute; grandchildren Jonathan Edwards (Anita), Jennifer Edwards Salemme (David), Matthew Christopher Runion (Kim) and Michael Scott Runion; great-grandchildren, Haley, Alex and Sullivan Salemme; step-great grandson Coty; brothers, Wendell Clark of Greencastle, Charles Clark of Plainfield and Burl Clark of Greencastle; and other extended family.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 12 at Moore Funeral Home, Brazil. Funeral services will be conducted at noon with Pastor Mark Scott officiating.

Burial will follow at New Providence Cemetery in Putnam County.
