The Tiger Cubs knocked off Covington 63-10, Monrovia 57-21, and South Vermillion 57-19 and finished the 4-0 day by beating Sullivan 54-24.
Seven Tiger Cubs went unbeaten on the day. Nick Pingleton at 132, Riley Boswell at 138, Aaron Langdon at 160, Carter Lewis at 170, Duncan Liden at 182, Ben Hesler at 220 and Will Mobley at 285 posted 4-0 records on the day.
Cameron Hinton added three wins at 106, as did Kaleb Fleming at 113, Hunter Smith at 152 and Blaine Fenwick at 195. Nathan Tesmer recorded one victory Saturday.
Greencastle head coach Matt McComish was enthused with the past week of wrestling from his squad.
"We're still doing a good job as a team. We've always got things that we can improve on. I think we've come together more as a team," McComish said.
"We're relying on each other more for wins and that's where we want to be in order to come together as a complete team.
"Riley Boswell did a great job today. He had a comeback victory to go undefeated. He's really stepping up as a wrestler and he's improving as the year has gone on," McComish added.
The Tiger Cubs still have a meet Wednesday before the holiday break, during which they'll travel to Scottsburg for the Warrior Classic Dec. 28 and 29.
McComish said the squad will stick with its nose-to-the-grindstone approach.
"We'll stick to our fundamentals as we approach conference and sectional time. Once there, we'll break down more individuals. We'll watch more film," McComish said.
"Right now, we have to worry about Avon on Wednesday. That's always a big match for us."
"After Wednesday, we have nine matches we'll wrestle at Scottsburg. There's a lot of things that we can work on, a lot of things we can improve on," McComish added.
"We'll have the mat time to do it. We just need to take advantage of that time."
