Three recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police.

-- At 2:25 a.m. Sunday, Jared G. Hagen, 23, Greencastle, was arrested for drunk driving by Capt. Charles Inman.

Capt. Inman initially stopped Hagen was speeding, after observing his vehicle reportedly "well in excess" of the 30-mph speed limit on Shadowlawn Avenue.

Hagen pulled his pickup truck into the apartment building parking lot at 330 Greenwood Ave., where he was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction.

After registering .11 percent blood-alcohol content under testing, Hagen was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Hagen received a warning for speeding.

-- At 9:32 p.m. Dec. 17, Jesse M. Barker, 30, Roachdale, was arrested by Reserve Officer Kyle Lee for shoplifting at the Walmart store on Indianapolis Road.

Barker allegedly took 10 DVDs, two Play Station 3 games and one Nintendo game, removed them from their packaging, and reportedly tried to conceal the games in his clothing.

He was lodged in the Putnam County Jail. No estimated value was available on the stolen items.

-- At 8 p.m. Dec. 17, Eric S. Barcus, 36, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Matt Huffman at 171 Frazier St. on a Hamilton County warrant for petition to revoke probation on an original August 2010 charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and endangering another person.

Two recent property-damage accidents were investigated by city officers.

-- At 3:17 p.m. Monday, the intersection of Vine and Franklin streets was the scene of a three-vehicle accident.

Roy Mitchell, 22, Greencastle, was northbound on Vine Street, driving a 2003 Dodge Durango, while Albert Ritch, 83, Roachdale, was eastbound on Franklin, driving a 2009 Chevrolet Impala, when they collided in the intersection, Sgt. Chris Jones reported.

Impact sent the Ritch car spinning across the intersection, where it struck a 1994 Toyota, driven by William Poynter, 74, Greencastle, that was stopped at the stopsign westbound on Franklin.

A passenger in the Ritch car, Lela Ritch, 75, had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Greencastle Fire Department. She was transported to Putnam County Hospital by Operation Life ambulance, suffering head pain.

Total damage in the accident was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.

Six recent traffic citations were issued by city officers.

-- At 1:25 a.m. Dec. 18, Anthony Kline, 19, Brazil, was cited on Bloomington Street by Officer Huffman for having a false or fictitious registration.

-- At 12:47 a.m. Dec. 17, Gwendolyn Kater, 24, Greencastle, was cited at Northwood Boulevard and Franklin Street by Officer Eric Vaughan for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.

-- At 2:49 a.m. Dec. 16, Tracy Lashley, 44, Greencastle, was ticketed on Bloomington Street by Officer Nick Eastham for 48 mph in a 30-mph zone.

-- At 2:10 a.m. Dec. 14, Taylor Lawson, 19, Greencastle, was cited on New York Street by Capt. Inman for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.

-- At 9 p.m. Dec. 13, Athena Siddons, 28, Cloverdale, was cited on Indianapolis Road by Capt. Inman for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

-- At 1 p.m. Dec. 12, Sarah Sullivan, 28, Indianapolis, was cited on Hanna Street by Assistant Chief Brian Hopkins for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

County Jail

Several people have been booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* On Friday, Dec. 16 at 12:27 p.m. Matthew Robert-Harley Davidson, 19, Greencastle, was held at the jail for theft and conspiracy to commit theft.

At 1 p.m. Kenneth Ray Pardue, 65, Indianapolis, was arrested for probation violation.

* On Saturday, Dec. 17 at 1:20 a.m. Jeffrey Brock Wehrman, 19, Roachdale, was housed at the jail for operating while intoxicated and minor in consumption.

At 11:58 a.m. Joshua DeWayne Lizotte, 19, Greencastle, was booked for theft and conspiracy to commit theft.

At 10:26 p.m. Jesse Madison Barker, 30, Roachdale, was held for theft.

* On Sunday, Dec. 18 at 2:58 a.m. Robert Lawrence Anderson, 53, Coatesville, was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

At 11:04 a.m. James Cody Wood, 24, Greencastle, was booked for operating while intoxicated.

At 9:22 p.m. Vance Anthony Davis, 26, Cloverdale, was held for contempt of court.

* On Monday, Dec. 19 at 1:08 a.m. Ronald Dean Flaurr, 51, Crawfordsville, was arrested for probation violation.

* On Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 1:08 a.m. Maria Lourdes Williamson, 32, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for probation violation.
