Let it snow...

Wednesday, December 28, 2011

To the dismay of many drivers, Putnam County experienced its first significant snowfall of the winter season Tuesday morning. But while commuters cautiously slid their way to work, children could be found traversing the local slopes, enjoying the new-fallen snow. Nine-year-old Andrew Russell and younger brothers Shawn, 3, and Zachary, 5, spent the morning and early afternoon sledding with their father Steven Russell at Robe-Ann Park. For some, the snow was much appreciated, covering the county with a beautiful blanket of white, and providing picturesque scenes such as Dunbar Bridge. But for others, the snow only raises the question of whether this is the start of another long Indiana winter.
