Mrs. Juanita Irwin, age 72, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 at the St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis.
Born Jan. 6, 1939 in Vevay, Ind., she was the daughter of Charles William and Jeanette (Monroe) Birkemeier.
She married Robert E. Irwin on Jan. 26, 1958, and he survives.
Juanita had been a homemaker and a member of the Longbranch Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; children, Deanna S. (Gary) Neese of Gosport, Tammy (Johnny) Overstreet of Greencastle, David (Terri) Irwin of Spencer, and Natalie (Bob O'Leary) Irwin of Newark, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Renee (Kevin Lovelace) Joslin, Seth (Krista) Irwin, Eric Joslin, Wendi (Andrew) O'Hair, Daniele Neese, Bruce McKenzie, Evan Neese, Jacob Overstreet, Josh Overstreet, Axl Overstreet and Kaysea Overstreet; three great-grandchildren, Kannon Lovelace, Aubrie McKenzie and Zane O'Hair.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Charles R. Birkemeier, and a sister, Evelyn Roach.
Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Bro. Scott Smith officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until time of service on Sunday.
