Clovers see improvment despite loss

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Cloverdale boys' basketball team fell to 1-10 on the season after losing to Covenant Christian 58-43 Friday

Mitch Williams led three Cloverdale players who scored in double figures with 15 points. Brandon Dorman added 11 and Joe Fidler scored 10 in the loss. Chuck Strunk scored five and Zach Dorman chipped in two points.

The Clovers outscored the Warriors 16-2 in the third quarter and played them even (10-all) in the fourth quarter. The Clovers also outrebouned the Warriors 28-13, including a 12-7 edge on the offensive glass.

"We had a problem with turnovers and made 17 the first half. But then we bounced back and we played a decent second half. We cut down the turnovers and we outscored the 26-22. So we did made some progress and we know we have to take it each game and try to get better each practice," CHS head coach Pat Rady said.

Cloverdale's back in action next Friday on the road at Cascade at 7:30 p.m.
