Four Putnam County residents were among the students earning degrees from Ball State University in the 2011 fall semester.

NATHAN AKER of Greencastle earned his Master of Arts.

JOEL BOTTOM of Greencastle earned a Bachelor of Arts.

LARA CLEMENTS of Coatesville earned a Bachelor of Science.

CHELSEA CLARK of Greencastle graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science.

Ball State University recently released its fall 2011 dean's list.

The dean's list recognizes undergraduates who earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average for 12 or more credits of graded course work during the semester.

Putnam County students making the list include MEGAN BARNES of Reelsville, CHELSEA CLARK of Greencastle, DEREK DEAKIN of Greencastle, BRITNEY DOUGLAS of Greencastle, BRADLEY EICKHOFF of Cloverdale, DANIELLE HARBISON of Roachdale, CAROL LAFOE of Greencastle, SARAH MYERS of Fillmore, ELLEN RICHARDSON of Fillmore, JESSICA ROSEMAN of Bainbridge, CARA STANLEY of Fillmore and MATTHEW WILLARD of Bainbridge.

Anderson University has announced its dean's list for the fall 2011 semester. To be named to the dean's list, a student must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Putnam County students making the dean's list included DREW CASH of Greencastle, JORDYN C. PITTS of Greencastle, JEREMY DAVID REDMAN of Roachdale and KALIA THURSTON of Greencastle.

ALEX STEFFY, Cloverdale, is a new junior member of the American Angus Association.

Junior members of the Association are eligible to register cattle in the American Angus Association, participate in programs conducted by the National Junior Angus Association and take part in association-sponsored shows and other national and regional events.

Alex is the daughter of Jamie and Debbie Steffy.
